CopyCat automatically synchronizes Google Calendar events between multiple accounts, so every account reflects your free/busy status and you can see your entire agenda everywhere.
No more sharing calendars or inviting your personal email — CopyCat handles it all for you!
How to Use CopyCat
- Add all the Google accounts you want to cross-sync at copycat.events.
- When you add or edit an event, you should do it on the ‘right’ calendar. Add work appointments on your work calendar, personal ones on your personal calendar, etc.
- Changes are automatically copied to all of your linked calendar accounts, with color coding so the ‘source’ of the event is easy to identify. Only you can see the details of the copied events, though — so even if you have a public work calendar, coworkers will not be able to see details of your personal calendar events, just that you are busy.
- If you are currently sharing calendars between multiple accounts in Google, you can hide all but one. Normally you'll keep your personal calendar (which now reflects all events) visible, and hide the others.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did you build CopyCat?
Existing solutions around "keeping your Google calendars in sync" are just how to share your Google calendar, so one account can view and modify the calendar for other accounts.
This doesn't solve the problem of actual synchronization of multiple calendars for a person — that is, they need multiple calendars to reflect the free/busy state of them as a singular human being.
CopyCat actually copies events between your primary calendars of multiple Google accounts, so you have a single free/busy status and can see all your events from any single calendar.
How much does it cost?
CopyCat is free for now, but we may charge a small ($1) fee per-calendar in the future.
CopyCat is built by Lithic Technology, a software development agency. If you want to support us, you or your company should hire us!
Why do my calendar colors not match?
Google Calendar's calendars and events use different sets of color options, so if you have a calendar set to a color that does not have a matching event color, CopyCat does its best to find a match. For best results, we suggest you use calendar colors that are also present as event colors. That list is:
